PVI is excited to commemorate 25 years at our annual In the Family concert featuring special performances with the PVI alumni choir, past directors, and more. PVI will also debut a newly-commissioned flagship song written by past PVI alum Ben Sellick.

PVI encourages all singers ages 26 and up interested in joining HORIZON to sign up for an audition. All are welcome!

Auditions will be held at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church with director Johanna Hildebrand and assistant director Katie Donnelly on June 26 and 28*. Singers can sign up for an audition timeslot by filling out the Horizon audition application form.

PVI encourages all singers ages 18-25 interested in joining Prairie Voices to sign up for an audition. All are welcome, but we especially encourage tenors and basses to apply!

Auditions will take place at 218 Spence Street with director Philip Lapatha on June 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 from 7:00-9:00 pm each night, and throughout the summer as scheduled. Prospective singers can sign up for a 20-minute timeslot by filling out the Prairie Voices audition application form.

What you can expect at the audition:

  • Some warm-up and vocalization

  • Sing through a song of your choice*

  • Sing through this “test piece”* (sopranos and altos, please learn BOTH the soprano part AND alto part; tenors and basses, please learn BOTH the tenor part AND bass part)

  • Some sight-singing

  • A brief time to chat

*NOTE: Nothing needs to be memorized!
